J.Cole,
A music artist is so unknown and unreachable in front of the T.V, seeping through the headphones, or youtube at 1am on the laptop. But when you rap it’s just not music with typical beats added with the humdrum of today, but pure poetry. When you lay down at night and think of all the things you will have to do the next day, never forget to thank GOD, not for the things of this world that came about because of your talent, but the incredible gift he even allowed you to have. For the life he gave you when you born unto this world, so you can even speak of such brokenness that plagues many people of the human race. It is a special thing to become a light in such dark places. Think of it as an honor God has placed before you. I can only imagine it can become overwhelming making sure you do the right things with the gift of writing you have. We all like a record that we can party to, forget the worries of the day and the battles we hope to leave behind. But music is not only about fun, but about solace. Like how are college kids like myself going to get into college? How am I going to pay Sallie Mae back? Is it possible to dream when you come from a drug addicted father and a mother on welfare? Can I get on the bus with just a Dollar and A Dream If someone wants to make a change I believe these questions should be talked about whether you the president, the school counselor, doctor, or a musician. I hope God continues to allow you to make music for longer a time you even dreamed, and I pray he protects you and keeps you truthful despite an industry that is filled with fake glamour and unsavory lies. You are an amazing man and hope you continue to grow musically and spiritually. It is not the face that makes you handsome, but the heart.

Definitely a new favorite of mine! If only you reversed the beginning and talked about a white girl and a black guy… Story of my life
